Is the Evil Dead a remake, or prequel, etc?

Its a remake of the oldie...and looks AWESOME! I'm a huge fan of horror movies but I never get my hopes up because of how crappy 95% of them are...but I have to admit, I can't wait for this one. ANNNDDD...Jurassic Park 3D...LOVE the JP movies and was excited to see they will be releasing JP4 next year.

Havent seen 42 yet....gonna wait for dvd for it. I try to limit going to theaters for those movies where you NEED a big screen. Like jurassic park 3D or the new star trek coming out. Its just too damn expensive to go for every single movie. and when i do go i buy the tix from costco- theyre 2 tix for 16 bucks, which is better than 12.50 per ticket at the theater.

Also picked up jurassic park 3D blu ray this week....yes i love it that much lol

Because Iron Man 3 is horrible! You can find bootleg versions of it on the net! Its not nearly as good as 1 or 2.

I already wanted to stop watching it when the movie opens playing that dumb 90s/2000s eruro song "I'm Blue"!!!!

I also finally saw 42 this weekend.... very good movie! If you have youngins in the family that you want to have see it... make sure you warn them about the very vulgar language.

That is great news that JJ kept up with making a good sequel. I imagine his classic sun-glaring is all over the place?

In addition to my previous post of my cant wait to see summer movies...i'm adding on the conjuring and the purge. If the purge is good then Ethan Hawke is on a little roll with making decent horror movies lately lol.

Watched Sinister lastnight. I'm a huge fan of horror movies...felt it was ok. A couple of scary moments...more creepy than anything else. Some people throw it in the same group as The Strangers and to me, The Strangers was one of the best horror movies in years. The music was amazing...the camera angles were simple yet effective...all around great movie. PLUS, it was filmed about 10 mins down the road from where I live now...and they lady that owns the house where it was filmed is related to my g/f Smile I'll post some pics of the place if I can find them...

Here are a few pics from when we visited the house from The Strangers. Like I said, the lady that owns the house is somehow related to my g/f. She was really nice...showed us pictures and letters from the cast from when they were on set. This house was only used for the outside shots. All of the inside shots were actually created in a warehouse.

Here is a shot from the driveway looking at the shed that was in the film.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Here is a shot of the driveway that they drove down and where the car was set on fire
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Here again in the back yard...and some incredibly sexy fella blocking the shot
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

All of the trees that were in the back yard when Liv was running were fake. They were all created out of large cardboard carpet rolls and decorated to look like trees.

Was funny because a lot of the house actually looked different and its because they fabricated a ton of the set on-site...even small details like replacing the front door...they even built a full size deck on the house and then tore it down after shooting. Was still fun to visit the site of one of my favorite movies.

thats awesome you got to tour that house!

I'm the complete opposite though, i did not like the Strangers at all...i thought it was boring and didnt go anywhere. Guess we got completely different tastes for horror lol.
