Autographed HOF Bat
This is a constant work in progress. I take this everywhere an opportunity may present itself to see/meet HOFers (and future HOFers). I have been working on this since the early 90s. Many were obtained at sporting events and All Star/Fan Fest experiences (San Diego, Anaheim and Arizona). I have a total of 83 players signed on the bat. Although many are HOFers, I've added several players who will be such as Ichiro, Trevor Hoffman, Omar Vizquel and Tom Glavine (and one who won't-Pete Rose). I also added a couple of HOF announcers like Jerry Coleman, Dick Enberg, and Peter Gammons. Buck O'Neil is also on the bat...although he was not inducted into the HOF (he was deserving of the honor), the HOF named an award on his behalf because of his contributions to the game. The players with an asterisk (*) are deceased players; the bat contains autographs of:

Jim Palmer, Rod Carew, Bert Blyleven, *Willie Stargell, *Bob Lemon, Rollie Fingers, Ozzie Smith, Joe Morgan, Tony Perez, Monte Irvin, Fergie Jenkins, Carl Yastrzemski, Carlton Fisk, Gaylord Perry, Rickey Henderson, Don Sutton, Bob Feller, Trevor Hoffman, Sandy Koufax, *Al Barlick, *Leon Day, Johnny Bench, *Hoyt Wilhelm, Tom Seaver, Brooks Robinson, Al Kaline, Juan Marichal, Reggie Jackson, George Brett, Whitey Ford, *Duke Snider, Ralph Kiner, *Pee Wee Reese, Yogi Berra, *Robin Roberts, Phil Niekro, Ernie Banks, Dave Winfield, *Richie Ashburn, *Early Wynn, George Kell, *Jim ‘Catfish’ Hunter, *Buck Leonard, *Ray Dandridge, Luis Aparicio, *Warren Spahn, Frank Robinson, Mike Schmidt, Robin Yount, Red Schoendienst, Ryne Sandberg, Willie McCovey, *Hal Newhouser, Edgar Martinez, * Don Drysdale, Steve Carlton, Ichiro Suzuki, Lou Brock, Bobby Doerr, *Buck O’Neil, Hank Aaron, Billy Williams, *Gary Carter, *Johnny Mize, Willie Mays, Tony Gwynn, *Al Lopez, *Rick Ferrell, Jerry Coleman, Eddie Murray, Bob Gibson, *Phil Rizzuto, Stan Musial, Pete Rose, Wade Boggs, *Eddie Mathews, *Enos Slaughter, Tom Glavine, Jim Bunning, Greg Maddux, *Harmon Killebrew, Peter Gammons, and Dick Enberg.

Michael Jordan Autographed Bat

In 1994 when MJ retired (the first time) from basketball and tried a new hobby (baseball), he played for the Scottsdale Scorpions during the Arizona Fall League (AFL). Since San Diego isn't that far away, it was hard not to go out and see him. There were days where he'd sign along the 1st and 3rd base lines or early in the morning when he arrived at Scottsdale Stadium. The bat was signed by him when he arrived early to the stadium (about 6:00 am) for an afternoon game. With only a handful of fans waiting for him, he graciously signed for everyone.

AFL Full Size Helmet

This was obtained in 2000 during the NFL's Hall of Fame induction weekend. With the turn of the century, a special AFL Reunion was held and a limited number of these signed helmets were made available for purchase.

During the spring, when pitchers and catchers report to Padres training camp in Peoria, AZ, he makes the trip out there and volunteers as an Asst. Coach. He signs everyday. I got the bat signed a couple of years ago. He's currently a front office employee of the Padres.

PM me and I'll see what we can arrange on the Hoffy sig.

As I've stated before, I'm more into the game used aspect of the hobby and accumulated a number of gloves, sticks, bats, cleats and shoes in recent years and would love to show some my faves:

Frank Thomas game issued cleats:

Paul Konerko game used bat:

Brian Urlacher game used cleats and gloves:

Derrick Rose game used shoes:

Unsigned, but a pair of AJ Pierzynski game used cleats. He has some of the coolest player exclusive gear around, and doesn't give them away. He questions anyone who gets his stuff...he was all over me when I showed these to him, but he appreciated that a true fan got them and that he would sign them for me this season:

I picked these up at the Chicago Bandits NPF Playoff game last night.

Bandit/Olympic pitcher Monica Abbott 2012 game used spikes!

I think I will have her add a couple more inscriptions.

Had to tap some connection for this, but it's something I've been targeting since his call up. I got the feeling his stuff is going to be hard to come by....Anthony Rizzo game used bat:

Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little, or in this case, give a lot!
