"Real or Fake?" Baseball Autographs

Do you have a baseball autograph that you are unsure of its authenticity? Post pictures of the item and ask your questions here!

My parents are up in Wisconsin doing some antique shopping.

My dad picked up 4 autographed baseball cards that he wasn't sure about their authenticity.

He sent me some pics... but they weren't all that great. When they get home from shopping he will send me some better ones.

The four cards are... Andre Dawson, Don Sutton, Jim Palmer, and Tony Perez.

If these are legit... they will more than likely be up for trade!

Looking forward to your opinions!

Dawson will sign in a straight line 9 out of 10 time not name on top of last name.

The only one I am certain looks real is Sutton. My Palmers and Dawsons look different. Not familiar with Perez.

Fake for sure is Jim Palmer..never seen one like that.

Dawson could be real since I do have an early one that I got IP and he signed like that His signature has changed.

Sutton looks fake, but not sure...looks different from mine and i got him in the 90's

Perez is real. His signature hasnt changed.

Sutton and Perez look fine to me. Palmer may be too. Dawson looks odd, but it might still be real. Why fake such an easy autograph to make $2-3?

Dawson was my biggest question. Its hard to see from the pic... but who ever signed that graph... had to write the "D" in halves in order to fit it under the Andre part. If that makes sense.

I've seen Dawson write his last name below his first name... but never like that. And never where the "D" is separated in half.


The Palmer is the other graph I questioned. It looks like his older graph. But still something off about it.


The Sutton and Perez look fine to me also.

My dad bought these graphs from some antique dealer in the Wisconsin Dells. The guy wanted like $20 for each of them. I think my dad got all four of them for $20.
