Help Cool Sports Photo

Post by stdrwt11 on Sun May 26, 2013 12:32 am

Below is an image I had made by our Graphic Design teacher and a student where I teach. My plan is to get it signed by all popular Houston athletes or ones I really like(d). I am thinking of going with Red Sharpie rather than typical blue or black. Thoughts?

I got the idea when a friend had a city of Chicago picture signed by some Chicago players so I went with a mixture of downtown Houston and a cool triple sports logo. I think it will turn out great once I add a bunch of player. The camera phone is not that good and the pic is not grainy at all.

I like it but I would stay away from red due to longevity. It will fade. Unless you go paint pen.

Red Sharpies tend to turn pink over time. Blue sharpies maintains its color longer, while black tends to fade quicker.

See if Sharpie has a darker blue. I'm sure they do.

Yea, I'd go with blue and sign along the white border...I think it will look great. I love red sharpie on certain pieces...mostly black and white photos that feature "red teams" like the Cincinatti Reds or Chicago Bulls. Really pops on B&W photos but I think you're safer going with the blue.

If you want to use Red...Use a Red Deco Paint pen.
The Red paint shouldnt turn like the ink from a sharpie.
