Pro Sport Drafts

Post by Nflfan1287 on Sun Apr 21, 2013 11:18 am

I am excited for the NFL draft on this coming Thursday.

So i was wondering, anybody watch Professional Sport Drafts? like NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA Drafts.

I used to watch them when I.was in college with the rest of the athletes and teammates on my floor. But not so much anymore.

I rather just see the post draft analysis on Yahoo sports.

I prefer the "later" rounds because they move faster, if the leagues could limit the time spent on round 1 - I would watch more often.

NHL draft moves along at a fair clip ... maybe because so many of the kids are foreign and the only TV network covering it is the NHL Network.

Yeah in the NFL the later rounds also move faster. Also from my standpoint as a ttm collector the late rounds are better because those players usually sign autographs through the mail, plus that is usually where the future Hall of Famers get picked.

I always watch or listen to the NFL draft. Recently teams have started having draft parties so I end up at one of those and get a few IP autographs while I'm there.

I always look forward to the Saturday portion of the draft at home. My lady always makes me hotwings. Bow

I used to watch, when the college athletes were more exciting. Nowadays i kind of just get bored, and end up turning it off after the first 10 picks, or until my team makes their 1st round choice.

I would be in a boat similar to Tiger: track the Ohio State guys but ... Twitter will let me know AND I don't think there are any 1st rounders in this class.

Teo's position might keep some people tuned in but I don't know if I see him as the "Brady Quinn, Holy Crap nobody wants him" pick or the "Aaron Rodgers, a lot of people are passing on a good player" pick.

He probably needs to drop into the lower third so he can go to a more veteran/established group that won't dwell on the "girlfriend"

I am a big fan of watching the NFL Draft. I enjoy the break down pre & post selection of each team. Not the biggest fan of Kiper or McShay though. I think they are pushing their own private funded agenda's

Maybe its just me...but I find all drafts to be absolutely boring...especially NFL Draft. I used to be a big college basketball fan (go HEELS) and I'd watch the first couple of picks for the big players and then turn it. I've watched a little bit of an MLB draft...just the first round...but to me, its like watching paint dry...
