Costco 16x20 Bleeding Autographs Discussion

Post by Guest on Fri Apr 19, 2013 4:08 am

First topic message reminder :

I know we have discussed this issue in the past, but I thought I would revive this for discussion. I have heard many people discussing that Costco images signed in blue sharpie have bled before. I wanted to get information on this, since I know a lot of you use Costco. I usually tend to do 16's from Adorama, but have done Costco in a pinch. I know FourFeathers has said he has bad experiences before, however Coach, PapaFro, and Silly among others have said they had never had problems. Just thought I would throw this out there....

I've been in the printing industry for 30+ years and have seen all the changes. Every thing is digital now and quality sucks. Stuff will eventually fade or bleed over time in light, any light. Just stick with a good company like adorama and you'll be fine. Use costco only in a pinch. And if you do use them the chances of it happening are very slim. Just try and keep it out of the light and you will be fine. Frame it right also. uv protect them and acid free matting. I think this is a rare instance. To many worries over nothing if you ask me.
