Very cool. I have the '10 team on logo pucks. I like the cup pucks better and will be starting that also!

Post by SniperJou on Tue Feb 28, 2012 1:38 pm

I can't compare my collection to many of yours cause it is really small..
My Holy Grail would be:
Shaquille O'Neal IP signed pictures x3

and then soccer jerseys:
One signed by Lionel Messi (best player)
Another by Xavi
another by Kaka

Yes, 3000 Hit Bat (9 autos so far), HOF and future HOF helmet (9 autos so far), and a Biggio Game Used bat inscribed to me. Each auto on the first 2 has a different inscription as well. I try to go with something different for each player rather than the HOF year or number of total hits. Some though only inscribe certain things though.

Shaquille O'neal on authentic jersey- I met him when I was younger when he first traded to LA, and got my Lakers jersey signed, Lakers hat signed, both sneakers in a pair signed. I would love to meet him again though.

Gretzky on Oilers jersey- I have him on a blank puck, but love the jersey

Patrick Roy on my Aves cup jersey- i have a few 8x10's but that jersey will look awesome signed!

I have several HOLY GRAILS in my personal collection, because of the number of images, I'll post them seperately.

Item #1:

Babe Ruth cut/framed 20x24 piece.

The item contains a photo of Ruth as a Red Sox and Yankee, a bio of his stats with each team (below each picture), a copy of the "infamous" 1919 contract when Boston sold him to the Yankees, and a beautiful fountain pen index card signature.

I have several HOLY GRAILS in my personal collection, because of the number of images I'll post them seperately.

Item #2:

AAGPBL (A League of Their Own Jersey)

Last summer, the AAGPBL tour made its way into San Diego. It was aboard the USS Nimitz on San Diego bay and 40+ players showed up for the event. The evening included an exclusive showing of the movie A League of Their Own inside the museum/aircraft hanger, a Q&A session with audience particpation, and autograph stations to get many of the women players (many in their mid-70's to early 90's). It was a GREAT event. I took the jersey to get signed and found out something interesting about it (I purchased the jersey years ago at a local swapmeet).

Several of the former AAGPBL players who signed the jersey recognized it as one which was given to cast members and those affiliated with the movie's production. Lois Youngen, Shirley Burkovich, and Maybelle Blair (all former players and those who assisted with the movie's production) said they had the same jersey at home and showed me the tags and markings on it which matched their own! After hearing that, the jersey immediately became one of my holy grails!!! Not bad for a swapmeet purchase...
